Anne Marie Bianchi

On Friday, November 4, 2022, Anne Marie Bianchi, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, passed away at the age of 79. Anne was born on July 5, 1943 in Peoria, Illinois to Ralph Charles and Mary Frances Behrens. She was the oldest of 7 children. Anne grew up in Peoria where she attended Academy of Our Lady Catholic School for girls and was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church. She met and married David Paul Bianchi (deceased) in 1964 and they moved to Quonset Point, Rhode Island for the remainder of David’s United States Navy career. In 1966 the couple moved to Longboat Key, Florida and in 1968 they welcomed the birth of their first daughter, Elizabeth Anne Bianchi Nilsen into the world. In 1969, their second daughter, Michelle Marie Bianchi was born. In the early ‘70s, Anne began what would be a 40-year career at Reynolds Security as the wire operator, now known as Morgan Stanley. Later in her career she took the Series-7 exam and became a Registered Sales Assistant for the firm. After her divorce from David, she took on a second job working part time through the 1980s and 1990s at Harry’s Continental Kitchens as their bookkeeper while raising her daughters. She never remarried. Anne was a founding member of St. Mary’s Star of the Sea Church on Longboat Key where she was one of the lectors on Sundays until she moved to Sarasota in 1999 and joined the Church of the Incarnation. Anne was an avid runner/walker. She completed numerous 5K and 10K races with her running group, however, she was most proud of completing a full marathon on February 28, 2010 at the age of 67 years old. Upon retirement from Morgan Stanley, Anne enjoyed volunteering in Cardinal Mooney High School’s Athletic Department, with Incarnation’s Vacation Bible Study Camp, the Sarasota Police Department, the Orioles, and The Players Centre for Performing Arts. Anne was preceded in death by both parents, Ralph Charles and Mary Frances Behrens, sister Doris Jean, and her grandson, Tanner Nilsen. She is survived by her sister, Lois (Behrens) Rozhon, and four brothers: Thomas (spouse: Linda), Kenneth (spouse: Beth), Ralph Charles “Chuck” (spouse: Cindy), and William “Bill” (spouse: Kathy) Behrens, her two daughters, Elizabeth Bianchi Nilsen (spouse: Brendan Richard) and Michelle Marie Bianchi, four grandchildren, Thomas Nilsen, Hope Nilsen, Andrew Interial (spouse: Lauren Interial), Austin Interial (spouse: Karli Interial), and one great-grandson Arthur Jackson Interial, Anne will also be greatly missed by her loving nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. A funeral mass will be held at the Church of the Incarnation, 2901 Bee Ridge Road, Sarasota, Florida 34239 on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at 10:00am. A luncheon will immediately follow in the Church Hall. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the Cardinal Mooney Catholic School Adopt-A-Student Program, in honor of Anne M.
