Jill Kathryn Pedigo

Jill Kathryn Pedigo of Siesta Key, Florida died on May 7, 2024, with her family by her side. Jill was born in Elgin, Illinois on October 3, 1965, to Jack Kraus and Beverly Roeschel. No amount of paper will be enough to describe Jill as Wife, Mom, Abuela, or Friend, yet she managed to fit so much life into her 58 years; more than most people could fit into multiple lifetimes. She truly defined what it meant to be full of life and to live life to the fullest. She journeyed to The Great Pyramids of Giza, Machu Picchu, the Tuscany region, the Colosseum of Italy, the Pampas of Uruguay, the Taj Mahal, Chichen Itza, and so many other sites in the 40-plus countries she visited. Jill traveled with a smile on her face and childish joy in her heart. Outside of her family, traveling the world hand-in-hand with her husband was one of her biggest loves in life. She insisted on sharing her joy of travel and discovery with her family and helping everyone step outside their bubbles. Jill's personality exuded so much independence, confidence, and persuasive tact. She had a way of teaching you life lessons without you even realizing, until later you think "hmm...". Some of the most valuable lessons she shared: Be the most confident version of yourself you can be. Don't ever rely on someone to support you. Protect your well-being and peace. Stand your ground always and be strong in everything you do. Invest in real estate. Take risks, and don't be afraid to jump in feet first (but while you're doing it, be frugal... Lord, knows she was). Love fiercely and defend loved ones with equal fierceness. With her stubborn attitude, she created an empire of success, and she raised daughters who are driven to mimic that success. She leaves behind an unmatched legacy. She will be remembered for her strong-willed, win-every-argument, Portillos-loving, Bear-down-singing, Jimmy Buffett dancing, shoe-obsessed, fun-loving personality; as the woman who was always put together, never left the house without her gold hoop earrings, mascara, and lip gloss; as the woman who could not stand a wooden popsicle stick but could eat an entire angel food cake in one day; and as the woman who would cook a gourmet meal enough to feed an army from a practically empty pantry. But most of all, she will be remembered for her infectious laugh and smile that could light up any room. Jill is survived by her cat, Azul; father, Jack Kraus; husband, Geno Pedigo; five children, Jaedyn Hodges, Baily Douglass, Ariel Guy, Juliet Suess, and Alex Norsworthy; and her 11 grandchildren, Katie, Ben, Noah, Ava, Sebastian, Banks, Winifred, Guerin, Georgina, Kate and Preston (though she still hoped for more!).
