Brenda Bowen

Brenda Bowen, 59, of Bradenton, FL passed away May 26, 2023. She was born in Ravenna, Ohio on June 16, 1963, to Blaine Lee and Linda Joyce Bowen. She lived most of her life in Wayne County, Ohio, living in Marshallville, Wooster, and Rittman, but spent the last 10 years living in Hollywood and Bradenton, Florida. Brenda attended Smithville High School, and Wayne County Career Center, where she studied nursing. The most important thing in Brenda’s life was her family. She enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews and watching them grow up. She even relocated to Florida ten years ago to be near her parents and sister where she was fortunate to spend the last 5 years of her father’s life living close to him. For those that knew Brenda, knew she was quite the firecracker, and had a ton of grit, and despite her disability, she was one of the strongest women I’ve known. Brenda loved with her whole heart. She took care of others and put them first despite her limited abilities. Brenda was a huge animal lover and poured her whole heart and soul into them. She was a proud Dog Mom over the years too, Corky, Molly, Trixie, Kekko, and several others furry friends. She is survived by her mother Linda, sister Kristina Garrity and her husband Geoff and their children Kennedy & Gavin, brother Blaine Bowen, Jr. and his wife Dottie and their children Megan, Jessica, & Tonya, brother Chuck Bowen and his wife Carla and their children Matthew & Donald Fitch, sister Debbie Bowen, sister Tammy Bowling and her children Darrel Anger, Jeremy Frye, & Candace Jo, nieces & nephews Jennifer Hall and her husband Richard and their children Richard, William Rogers and his wife Candice and their children Katelyn, Gracie, Nick, & Austin, and Pamela Propst and her children Aaron & Mackenzie, brother Jim Zechman and his children Adam, Noah, Gabe, & Catherine, nieces and nephews Brittany Manabusan and her husband Tim and their children Marley, Alinah, & Izabella, Courtney and her husband Jeff and their children Oliver, Zepplin, Jerica (Naven), Neesen, Noella, Zachari Zechman and his wife Heather and their children Eleanor, Thomas, Paxton, Cara & Alex, and special sister-in-law Melanie Wallace. She was preceded in death by her father Blaine, sister Patricia Burke, Aaron Propst, Morgan Hall, Suzy Fitch, and brother Bryan Zechman. The family had a private Celebration of Life Memorial with her closest family and friends on Sunday, June 4, in Barberton, Ohio.
