Cindy M. (Wadsworth) Hannon

On Friday, September 18, 2020, Cindy Marie (Wadsworth) Hannon; loving wife and mother of two children and three grandchildren, passed away peacefully in her home in Sarasota surrounded by her family. Cindy was born on June 4, 1958 in Ticonderoga, New York. Cindy grew up and attended school in Crown Point, NY where she graduated as Salutatorian in 1976. After graduation Cindy moved to Gloversville, NY and attended college at Fulton Montgomery College graduating in 1978. Cindy met her soon to be husband David while attending Fulton-Montgomery. After Cindy had enough of the cold, her and David packed up and moved to Ft Lauderdale, Florida. They returned north to be married in David’s hometown of Bellport, NY in 1981. Eventually they moved to Sarasota, Florida where Cindy spent most of her life and raised her family of two children Elizabeth and Patrick and her three grandchildren James, Daniel, and Cora. Cindy’s career at Saint Boniface Episcopal Church started within days of arriving in Sarasota; after applying to their ad, the church fell in love immediately and Cindy stayed for over 30 years, as an integral component of the church. During this time she also went on to work with ACS Technologies as a software trainer and spread her knowledge to churches throughout the country. Cindy was a loving and compassionate spirit whose passion for caring for others was first and foremost. Despite her strong work ethic, family and friends were Cindy’s passion. She spent summers and vacations with her loved ones in Florida, New York and loved the quiet waters of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Though Cindy’s health kept faltering for years, few people know the extent to which she struggled. Her joy, faith, and indomitable spirit kept her pushing through the pain. Cindy was predeceased by her parents Edward Wadsworth and Rhoda Wadsworth and a sister Ruth Wadsworth. Cindy is survived by her loving husband David and their daughter Elizabeth and son Patrick and her grandchildren James, Daniel, and Cora. She is also survived by her loving sisters and brothers Laura (Gary) Childs, Rhonda (Randy) Sargent, Valarie (Lee) DeLieto, Jay (Erika) Wadsworth, John (Cathy) Wadsworth, Darryl Wadsworth, Craig Wadsworth. Aunts, Uncles and many nieces and nephews. And last but not least she is also survived by her loving pet Jake. She will be dearly missed by family and countless friends.
