Noel S. Gison

With deep sorrow, we remember the life of Noel S. Gison, who passed away on August 20, 2026, at the age of 71. Noel was born on July 19, 1955, and was born and raised in Arevalo, Iloilo City, Philippines, where he spent his childhood and many of his adult years. He was the son of Loreta Salas and Emilio Gison, and the seventh of twelve siblings. Growing up in a large family helped shape the warmth, generosity, and deep sense of family that remained one of his defining qualities throughout his life. He pursued his education at Central Radio Electronic School, earning a degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering. He went on to build a career grounded in dedication, skill, and service. Noel devoted more than 15 years to ABS-CBN Broadcasting Network in Davao City, where he became a valued colleague and a cherished friend to many. His years in the broadcasting industry were marked not only by professionalism and commitment, but also by the meaningful relationships he built along the way. He later made his home in Florida, where he continued to build a life filled with the people and moments, he held dear. Noel was a devoted husband, a loving father and a cherished grandfather. He touched the lives of many through his kindness, compassion, generosity, and warm spirit. Outside of work and family, Noel found joy in life’s simple and quiet moments. He loved cooking Filipino favorites and drinking brewed coffee and spent much of his free time caring for and planting flowers and plants. He had a natural gift for gardening and was lovingly known as a green thumb. He took pride in nurturing each plant, bringing life and beauty to his surroundings. In many ways, his love for gardening reflected the patience, care, and generosity he extended to the people around him. Noel was also a man of faith and service. He generously gave his time, heart, and talents to his religious communities, including Couples for Christ and Balik Loob Sa Diyos. His faith was not only something he believed in, but something he lived through his willingness to serve, help others, share what he had, and extend kindness to those around him. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his beloved wife, Marilou Lipa Gison; his children, John Noel, Mark Jezryl, June Michael, Jeline Mariz, and Angela Nichole; his son-in-law, Julius Kenn; and his cherished grandchildren, Maddox, Jace Jaxon, and Jian Dwight. Though he is no longer with us, Noel’s love and memory will live on through his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched. His presence will be deeply missed, but the memories he gave us will remain forever cherished. Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts. Forever loved, forever remembered, forever missed. A funeral viewing for Noel will be held on September 12, 2026, at 11 a.m. at Toale Brothers Funeral Home, located at 40 N Orange Ave, Sarasota, FL 34236. Family and friends are welcome to join us as we honor, remember, and celebrate Noel’s life.
