Ronald "Ron" Victor Fell

Ron Fell, 81, of Venice, Florida, passed away peacefully at his home on July 20, 2026. Born on February 11, 1945, in Rochester, New York, Ron lived a life defined by service, faith, compassion, and dedication to others. He graduated from East Rochester High School in 1963 and immediately answered the call to serve his country, enlisting in the United States Navy, where he proudly served from 1963 to 1967. Following his military service, Ron pursued higher education at Marquette University and SUNY Brockport before discovering his passion for healthcare. He completed his degree in Respiratory Care Therapy at Onondaga Community College and went on to build a meaningful career as a respiratory therapist at the University of Rochester’s Strong Memorial Hospital. Throughout his profession, Ron cared for numerous patients and families, bringing both professional expertise and genuine compassion to those facing difficult health challenges. His dedication was felt by all who interacted with him. Upon retirement, Ron embraced life in Florida, where he enjoyed the sunshine, friendships, and opportunities to serve his community. A man of deep faith, he was a devoted parishioner of Bayside Community Church, Bee Ridge Campus having served as a prayer leader and frequent mission participant. Whether helping a neighbor, volunteering his time, or offering words of encouragement, Ron's quiet acts of care reflected the values by which he lived. Ron will be remembered for his warm spirit, unwavering faith, positive outlook, and genuine concern for others. He found great joy in spending time with friends and family and was grateful for the blessings throughout his life. His legacy lives on in the many people whose lives he touched. Ron is survived by his sister, Joycelyn Rugg and brother-in-law Robert Rugg of Camillus, New York; his brother, Kenneth Fell of Rochester, New York; and his nephews, Richard Roncinske, Ronald Roncinske, and Mark Roncinske. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Fell and Constance (Brescia) Fell of Rochester, New York. A Celebration of Life, facilitated by Bayside Community Church, Bee Ridge Campus, will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations in honor of Ron be made to the charity of your choice. Fair winds and following seas, Ron.
