Alan N. Bogner

Alan N. Bogner, 82, passed away peacefully Friday, February 26, 2021 in Sarasota, FL. Alan was born July 28, 1938 in Decatur, IN. He was Production Coordinator with General Electric Motors retiring in 1997 after 38 years. He enjoyed tennis, golf, reading, cruising, and traveling the world with his wife Linda, especially their motorcycle camping trips. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Alan is survived by his wife Linda Horacek Bogner, five children Jill (Junior) Fairchild, Julie (Rich) Morales, Jenny (Greg) Day, Greg Bogner and Megan Fleming, 17 Grandchildren and 20 Great Grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents Dick and Flossie Bogner, brother Sam Bogner, daughter Marnie Ruthenberg, and grandson Douglas Fairchild. Alan had previously been married to Connie Douglas Bogner Sark. A special thank you to Alan's golf and tennis buddies at Calusa Lakes for all of their friendship and support; to his Neurologist, Dr. Robert Baumann for his wonderful care, and to the caring staff at Arden Courts where he received his Memory Care.
