Carol Maye Christopher (née McRae) consecrated by the sacraments died on Thursday, January 6, 2022 in Sarasota Florida at the age of 89. She was born in Cleveland OH to the late Myrtle M. (née Thomas) and Vernon A. McRae. She was the beloved wife of 64 years to the late Walter M. Christopher Jr.; loving mother of Connie (Gary) Clifford, Kimberlee (Michael) Duda, Jeffry Christopher, David (Laura) Christopher, the late Colonel Daniel (Kelly) Christopher USMC and Thomas (Paula) Christopher. Dear "Coco" to 18 grandchildren; Richard, Kaitlin, John, Mikey, Kimberly, Daniel, Christopher, Matthew, Kerry, Grace, Stephen, Ben, Patrick, Emily, Aaron, Megan, Jessica, and Alexandra and her 11 great grandchildren. Loving sister to the late Vernon (Joan) McRae, the late Otis (Marianne) McRae and Daniel (Nancy) McRae. Dear aunt, cousin, and friend to many. Carol was a woman of great intellect, perception, and courage. Carol was, above all, an inspired mentor and family architect, card shark and an avid camper who planned many very memorable vacations throughout the U.S. and Canada. Services: Memorial Service is at 10:30am., January 20, 2022, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 7900 Bee Ridge Road, Sarasota, FL 34241. Followed by internment at 12:30 on Thursday, January 20th, 2022 at Sarasota National Cemetery, 9810 State Road 72, Sarasota, FL 34241.
