    Diane Hochman

    June 2, 2022

Diane Hochman passed away last Thursday evening, June 2nd. She was dearly loved by family and friends and will be forever missed. Diane grew up in Bronx, New York, with her mother, father, and grandfather. She loved spending summers in New Jersey where she was able to ride horses and a lifelong love for animals was ignited. She raised her family and worked in medical office administration in Stamford, CT. She married her loving and devoted husband, Howard, in 1985. They shared a love of their dog and their combined families. Howard and Diane loved to travel and went on many international trips together. Their trips to Italy and Alaska were two of her favorites, and she also was able to cheer on their beloved New York Giants and Yankees in a Super Bowl and World Series, respectively. Howard and Diane retired to Sarasota, FL in 2002, where Diane loved spending time volunteering with Selby Gardens and Southeast Guide Dogs. Diane was known for her ability to love, show love, and give love. She is survived by her husband, Howard Hochman of Sarasota, son Marc Savitt of Bennington, VT, daughter and son-in-law Susan and John Hogan of Williamstown, MA, grandchildren Daniel, Rachael, and Matthew Hogan, stepsons Greg and Marc Hochman and his partner Audra Harris, sister and brother-in-law Harriet and Steve Perlman and brother Alan Hochman, and many more friends and extended family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any one of Diane’s favorite charitable organizations: Ronald McDonald House Charities, Reading is Fundamental, Front Range Equine Rescue, or Army Rangers Lead the Way. Interment will be Wednesday, June 8. Howard welcomes calls and visits from friends at any time.
