Earl John Gibson

Earl John Gibson, 63, of Sarasota Fl. passed away on December 14,2021 after a battle with cancer. He was born in Detroit, Michigan to David and Patricia Gibson. He attended Cardinal Mooney High School and graduated from Sarasota High School in 1976. Earl was one of the top high school gofers in Florida after winning many local and state wide events. Earl went on to be part of the golf team at Manatee Community College. His love and success in the game of golf was something he will always be remembered for. Earl’s passion for cooking led him to an outstanding career at Southern Grocery, Sysco Food Services, and Cheney Brothers. Holidays were made extra special as we gathered around the table and enjoyed his amazing cooking. Earl is preceded in death by his father David Gibson. He is survived by his mother Patricia Gibson. Wife Ginger Gibson, son Evan (Jessica) Gibson, daughter Juls (Tristan) Hasbargen, and grandchildren Mason, Emerson, Benaiah, Ethan, and Gibson. Brother Andy (Margaret) Gibson, nieces Janey and Anna. Sister Janey Depew, niece Bekka (Michael) Depew-Chen and many great nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 18, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Toale Brothers Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, 40 North Orange Avenue, Sarasota, FL 34236. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Tidewell Hospice or your favorite charity. A celebration of life will be announced for the Spring of 2022.
