Harriet Noel Hackett (68) passed away on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at Tidewell Hospice in Lakewood Ranch from Pancreatic Cancer. Her loving husband of 47 years, Frederick G. Hackett, was at her side. Noel was born in Sarasota, January 4, 1953. She attended Central and Bay Haven Elementary schools, Sarasota Junior High School, and graduated from Sarasota High School in 1971. Noel served as Deputy Supervisor of Elections in the Sarasota Supervisor of Elections Office in the 1970’s. She was a realtor in Illinois for five years. She received a GRI (Graduate Realtor Institute designation) of which she was very proud. She was a technical secretary for Tetra Tech, formerly known as Ardaman and Associates. Most recently Noel was the Treasurer/Office Manager of Suncoast Audio Video which she and her husband opened in 1995. She obtained certification from the Imaging Science Foundation, and she was a member of The Interior Design Society of Sarasota. She was a member of CEDIA (Custom Electronics Design Association). Noel is survived by her husband, Fred Hackett, her son Brad Hackett (Jackie), three grandsons: Collin (17), Conner (15), and Cameron (10) and two brothers: Jesse (Christine), Robert Martin and sister in-law Jeanine Hackett Brakefield. She had 3 surviving nieces, Allison Martin, Lenore Brakefield, Lindsay Cohen, and nephews Jesse (Jay) Martin, Andy Martin, and Craig Martin. She was preceded in death by her parents Winona and Lawrence Martin, Brothers Larry Martin and George Martin, niece Kim Phelps, and nephew Ki Martin. A memorial service will be held at Toale Brothers Funeral Home Colonial Chapel on Orange Avenue in Sarasota on December 3, 2021, at 10:00 AM, followed by a brief ceremony at Sarasota Memorial Gardens. At the request of the deceased, vaccinated friends are welcome to attend services. Noel decided to participate in the Eternal Reefs program. A portion of Noel’s remains will be made part of an eternal reef ball, that will be placed in the Gulf of Mexico off the shores of Sarasota. The project’s goal is to preserve, protect and enhance the Marine Environment for the benefit of future generations through the use of memorialization. This will not occur till around June of 2022.
