Jacob "Jake" Michael Brown

Jacob Michael Brown "Jake" came into this world on February 12, 1991. His journey came to an end January 3, 2018 due to a tragic car accident. Since the day he was born, Jake captivated the hearts of all who met him. People could not resist his charm, his infectious smile, or his warm embrace, and Jake could not resist meeting and talking to people. Jake always rooted for the underdog and would do whatever he could to help others. He was a great leader and mentor to so many people. Jake loved life, and even as a child, he enjoyed new adventures with his family and friends whether it be riding four-wheelers in the mountains or playing at the beach in Panama City. Throughout Jake's childhood and into his adult life, he found joy and peace in nature. He loved being active on his volleyball team, creating gardens, and of course taking Pearl, his furry friend and best bud, out for car rides and walks in the park. Jake followed in his father's footsteps with his love of water and boats. After finding his home in Sarasota, Jake got a job at Marina Jack's that surrounded him with boats all day. It did not take long for Jake to decide he wanted to eventually become a Captain which would have allowed him to spend even more time on the water. He also discussed investments and entrepreneur opportunities that he could be a part of within the next five years. Jake had so many dreams for his future and only envisioned the best of things to come for himself, his family, and his friends. This last journey will take Jake to a place of beautiful peace, sun light that will radiate his warm smile to us on Earth, and a place where Jake's spirit will continue. As he will know that he will be missed, remembered, and forever loved. Jake is survived by his father, Michael J. Brown; his mother, Belinda Guess; his best friend and brother Gabriel J. Brown; and his grandparents, Lowell and Frances Guess and Patricia and Marvin Garrard. Jake's memorial service will be held on Friday, January 12, 2018 on Siesta Key (North) Beach at 12 o'clock noon. In case of inclement weather, the beach ceremony will take place at The Landings Club House.
