Jesse "Jess" C. McCollam, Jr. Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Jesse “Jess” C McCollam Jr. passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, March 25, 2022, in Sarasota, FL. Jess was born on June 19,1935 in Mill Creek, WVA to his parents Wanda Fitch and Jesse McCollam Sr. He attended Tygarts Valley High School in Mill Creek, WVA. He graduated from University of Akron with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Following college, Jess served in the Army Financial Services in Korea. After Korea, Jess joined the General Tire Company in Akron, OH and was a valued leader throughout the rest of his career. Jess and his life partner, Judith Jenkins, spent half their time in Sarasota, FL and the other half in Big Canoe, GA. Jesse and Judy also traveled extensively to exotic destinations across the globe. Jess is survived by his life partner, Judith Jenkins or Sarasota, FL; his daughter Kristin McCollam and partner Karen Welch; his son Scott McCollam, his wife Aimee and their children Marlie and Marin; his daughter Heather Lockhart and husband Marc Lockhart and their children Raul and Julio; his son Michael Jenkins, his significant other Evelyn Pate and Michaels children Amanda, Delaney and Liam Jenkins. Jess will be laid to rest with honors at the Sarasota Veterans Cemetery on July 22, 2022, at 10am. Following the service will be a reception in the Community Room @ 100 Central, Sarasota, FL 34236.
