Joseph “Joe” Rossi passed away from brain cancer on Friday, November 5, 2021 at the age of 33 at his family home. By Joe’s side was his father Retired Sarasota Co. Sheriff’s Office Major, Richard (Skip) Rossi along with his mother, Kim, a Realtor with Premier Sotheby’s. Also present was his best friend, Misha Kornienko. After 43 months of treatments off and on, Joe could no longer fight. Born and raised in Sarasota, Joe was an only child of the Rossi’s; he leaves behind not only his parents, but also his wife Morgan (Bechtel) Rossi, his grandparents, Retired Sarasota Co. Fire Chief, Larry Smith & wife, Norma; his Grandmother Carol Azar residing in N.C., as well as numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Joe attended The Tabernacle Christian School during his elementary years followed by Cardinal Mooney H.S. where he graduated in 2006. He attended Florida Gulf Coast University in Estero where he completed his master’s in business. From there, Joe resided in Estero. He was an employee of Oakes Farms in Naples Florida working as an account executive since 2015; he was a dedicated and beloved employee and accepted any challenge tossed his way; he enjoyed learning the different aspects of how the company functioned. Joe had a passion for fishing, and it was this that made him the happiest. He was also an avid tennis and pickleball player. Joe had an infectious smile, a kind and generous heart, beautiful energy and was deeply loved. He will be forever missed. Joe’s family will Celebrate his Life on December 11th with a private gathering of family & friends. Those wishing to send flowers may do so to his family home the day prior so they may be displayed in Joe’s honor. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to The Wounded Warriors project.
