Lois Isabel Rosenberg

Lois (Sobel) Rosenberg passed away early Monday morning following a brief battle with cancer and a two-year battle with ALS. Lois was born in Brooklyn, NY, to Mildred and Abraham Sobel, and moved to Staten Island, NY with Harold to start their family. They later moved to Schenectady, NY with their children, before relocating to Sarasota in 2009. She is survived by her husband of fifty years, Harold Rosenberg, her daughter, Liza (Rosenberg) Farachdel (and son-in-law, Daniel) of Karkur, Israel, her son, Joshua Rosenberg (and daughter-in-law Cheryl) of Marietta, GA, grandchildren Sadie and Hannah Rosenberg and Yogev Farachdel, and sister Barbara Wolfgang of Allentown, PA. There will be a graveside service held on Wednesday, March 2nd, at 10:00am at the Sarasota National Cemetery, followed by a memorial service at Temple Emanuel, located at 151 McIntosh Road, Sarasota, FL 34232, at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lois name to Tidewell Hospice at 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, FL 34238, or to Temple Emanuel.
