    Marilyn Martin

    July 17, 1933 - January 29, 2022

    Marilyn Martin, of Bradenton, Florida, was called to heaven on January 29,2022 at the age of 88. Marilyn was born in Astoria, New York in 1933, and it was there that she met the love of her life, Peter. They married in 1953 and moved to Brentwood, New York in 1960, where they raised five children. Marilyn, who was very devoted to her church and community, spent much of her time volunteering in service to those less fortunate than herself. Marilyn lived a very full and fulfilling life. Her greatest joy was her family. She will be missed by Peter, her loving husband of 68 years, as well as by their five children: Patrick (Susan), Peter (Pamela), Nancy Guadagno (Albert), Michael (Jennifer), MaryJean Gessner (Donald); eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Marilyn also is survived by her brother, Ronald Mayer, her sister-in-law Margaret Martin, and her numerous nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial to be held at Saints Peter and Paul the Apostles Roman Catholic Church in Bradenton, FL on Saturday, February 12,2022 at 9:30 am. Interment at Sarasota National Cemetery to be held on Monday, February 14th at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
