    Marlene Haman

    October 28, 1935 - July 17, 2018

    Marlene Kay (Shaw) Haman, 82, of Venice, FL, passed away Tues., July 17, 2018, at Solaris Healthcare, Port Charlotte, FL. She was born Oct. 28, 1935, at Lima Memorial Hospital, the daughter of Milo M. & Mary Kathryn (Lytle) Shaw, who preceded her in death. On Nov. 6, 1955, she married Roger Haman, and he passed away in August, 2017. They renewed their marriage vows with their family in Switzerland on Dec. 23, 1998. Survivors included, 3 children, Jeffrey Lynn Haman, Jill Ann Beelman, & Jason Jeffrey Haman She loved her grandchildren dearly and they are, Ryan Costantino, Taylor Costantino, Aiden Haman & Ethan Haman. She is also survived by a brother, Thomas Lynn (Patricia) Shaw, and a sister-in-law, Jean Shaw. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Frederick Milo Shaw. Marlene worked as a financial secretary with R. F. Stolte Builders, and the First United Methodist Church, both of Wapakoneta, and the Disciples of Christ Church, Venice, FL. Marlene and Roger lived in Wapakoneta, Dublin, OH, Cartersville, GA, and the past 25 years plus years in Venice, FL. She was a 1953 graduate of Blume High School. While living in Wapakoneta, Marlene worked at the Foxy Lady, as a clerk and model, and volunteered at Lima Memorial Hospital. Marlene was a 20-year breast cancer survivor and enjoyed being around people and helping others. She would volunteer for many things when asked. Private family services are planned. Marlene’s cremated remains will be entombed next to Roger in the Venice Memorial Gardens, Venice, FL. Contributions may be directed to the the charity of the donor’s choice or the local Alzheimer’s Foundation. Arrangements are being conducted by the Ewing Chapel of Toale Bros. Funeral Home, Venice, FL.
