Mary Ann (Gibson) Hanrahan of University Park, FL, formerly of Glen Burnie, Maryland passed away Sunday, February 21, 2021 after a battle with cancer. She was born December 15, 1939, in Salina, Kansas to Kathryn and Melvin Gibson. Mary Ann graduated from the University of Kansas in 1962. She was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. She married John (Jack) Hanrahan in 1962. She loved spending time with her family, socializing with friends, travel, reading, and conquering crossword puzzles. Mary Ann faced life’s challenges with grace and courage. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother Sidney Gibson; and her husband. Left to cherish her memory are her children Laura Cristin (Hanrahan) Stutler of Hedgesville, WV and Scott Christopher Hanrahan of Glen Burnie. MD; grandchildren Nicole Stutler, Cristin Brown and her husband Mike, and Katie Stutler; great grandson Luke. She had been eagerly awaiting the birth of Luke’s little sister. Sharing in the sorrow of her loss are her sister-in-law Sandra Gibson; brother-in-law William Hanrahan; and brother and sister-in-law Robert and Susan Santos. Services will be held on Friday, March 19th at 2:30 P.M. at the Sarasota National Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478 Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
