Michael "Dean" Brier Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Michael “Dean” Brier was born on October 21, 1967 and died July 26, 2022 at 54 years old. He fought a mighty battle with heart disease all the way until the end. He was a brother, a son, a father, and a friend to many. Dean was born and raised in Bradenton Florida where he resided all his life. He was a certified welder, a talented wood craftsman, and an air conditioning technician. He is survived by his mother Joan Brier (Ed Neimiller), his father Danny Brier (Betty Brier), his stepmother Sharon Chofey (Mark Chofey), his aunt Carolyn Allen (Winnie), his aunt Michelle Burris (Darryl Burris), his uncle Mike McCormack (Diane McCormack), his aunt Jenny and uncle Andy Morel, his brother Del Brier, his sisters Lisa Messina, Becky Bartel, and Dena Stapleton, his sons Michael Brier, Wesly Brier, Noah Brier (Carly Brier), and Matthew Brier (Britany Brier), and lastly his grandchildren Maddie and Lenna Brier. Also a special thank you to Sandy Brier, Dean’s previous wife, for all of her assistance with his daily care. We are eternally thankful for the visits, support, and love from the rest of our family and friends. He is predeceased by his grandparents Dr. and Mrs. F.K. Allen as well as William and Hazel Brier, stepfather George Miller, brother Matthew “Dwayne” Brier, sisters Jennifer Miller and Shannon Doss, brother-in-law Bill Doss, and beloved son James Dean Brier. Throughout this long process, Dad said repeatedly that God wasn’t finished with him yet. We believe that God worked through Dad to bring our family closer together in this time. He was a man of God, and precious to all of us. We will be forever grateful for the time we had to spend with him. His fast wit and snarky jokes will last forever. Until we meet again Pops, peace out girl scouts! Celebration of life will be held at Bethel Baptist Church in Bradenton from 2pm-5pm on Saturday August 6th.
