Michael Hric

Michael Hric, 71, of Osprey, Florida and formally of Hammond, Indiana passed away Wednesday morning at Sarasota Memorial Hospital. He was born in Chicago, Illinois to Dolores Hric and the late Andrew Hric. Majoring in Accounting, Michael earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University in 1972 and his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Illinois in 1975. Prior to his relocation to Sarasota, Florida in 1979, he practiced both accounting, with an international accounting firm, and law in Chicago, Illinois, he also served as a lecturer/instructor at Purdue University and several venues in Florida. Michael held licensure as a licensed Certified Public Accountant in Indiana and Florida and was also Board Certified in taxation law by the Florida Bar Association. He practiced primarily in the areas of estate planning and probate, business planning, entity formation, organization and structuring, preservation of wealth, and taxation law. Michael was a member of the Indiana Bar Association, Illinois Bar Association, and the Florida Bar Association. He was preceded in death by his father, Andrew Hric and his sister, Marilyn Werbel Survivors include his, Mother, Dolores Hric; his life partner of 36 years, Doris Grein; his brother-in-law, Dr. Gordon Werbel; two nephews, Aaron Werbel, Nate Werbel and many other close friends. The family will have a private graveside service at Temple Beth Sholom Cemetery in Sarasota.
