    Patricia Brady DeWitt went to her Heavenly Rest on October 29, 2021. She was 77 years old. Pat is survived by her husband of 53 years, John; her son John A. DeWitt III (Brenda); grandsons Connor, Ryan and Christian; brother Robert Brady; sisters Terry Lloyd (Terry), Peggy Hunt (Robert), Judy Charest and Mary Garland, along with several nieces and nephews. Pat was born in Elmira, New York and attended Notre Dame High School. She attended Suffolk County Community College, and later earned her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from Adelphi University and a Master's Degree as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner from Stony Brook University. Pat worked for many years at the Long Island Jewish Hillside Medical Center, retiring in 2012. Pat was strong in her Roman Catholic faith. She served as a Eucharistic Minister at St. Hugh of Lincoln in Huntington Station, New York and as both a Eucharistic Minister and Sacristan at Our Lady of the Angels in Lakewood Ranch, Florida. Pat loved traveling, reading, gardening and especially her dogs, most recently Baxter and Riley. She also enjoyed playing mahjong with her friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Wildlife Federation.
