Regina Anne Hanson Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Regina “Reggie” Anne Hanson (nee Lynch), age 73, of Lakewood Ranch, FL passed away, June 22, 2022 while on a flight to Greece. She was the daughter of Gerald Lynch and Marilyn Besley (nee Hehr), born in Elmira heights New York on July 24, 1948. Reggie graduated from Notre Dame High School and received her nursing degree from St. Mary’s in 1969. She worked as a Registered Nurse at St. Anthony’s Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio from 1973 – 1987 and was promoted to the Associate Director of Nursing in 1984. Reggie loved being surrounded by her family and friends. Her grandchildren knew her as Nana. Always quick with her beautiful smile and a great laugh, she could typically be found entertaining at home, heading out for a get together or dinner at a favorite restaurant. She also loved to travel and visited many different countries through the years. In the fall you’d find her watching football and rooting for her favorites, THE Ohio State Buckeyes and New York Giants. Her Kindle was always within reach, as she was a voracious reader. She is survived by her husband Russell W. Hanson, Jr., her four children: Jeffrey Fossaceca, Jill (DJ) Smith (nee Fossaceca), Julie Fossaceca and William (Elizabeth) Hanson, grandchildren: Zackary Campbell, Makenzie Campbell, Makayla Beechin, Ryan Smith, Joshua Smith, Liam Hanson, Lucas Hanson, great-grandchildren: Leyona Martinez, Jaiden Felicien, Maleah Pastor, and her sisters: Sylvia (Robert) Devitt, Susan (Michael) Kratochvil, Mary Vesneske, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by sister Linda Lynch of Asheville, NC and Kathryn Lynch of Elmira, NY.
