    Scott D. Fisher

    September 15, 1947 - May 1, 2022

Scott Fisher passed away at his home in Sarasota, FL on May 1, 2022, at the age of 74. He was born on Sept. 15, 1947 to Lloyd and Joyce Bancroft in Lansing, MI. He is survived by his wife and best friend, Trina Fisher. They were married for 21 years and felt blessed every day to have found the love they had for each other. He is survived by two daughters, Tiffany Vedder and Tammy Stahelin and their husbands, Erich Vedder and Bob Stahelin. Also by a step daughter, Socha Goyette and her husband Toby Goyette. A brother Robert Linderman and wife Theresa Linderman and four grandchildren, Alexis Vedder, Anah Stahelin, Robert Stahelin and Allison Vedder. A sister and brother-in-law, Gretchen Witbeck and her husband David Witbeck and their son Hayden Witbeck. He served in the Army in Vietnam and Military Police in Chicago. After returning home to Michigan, he became an apprenticed carpenter, Union Leader, and went on to the State of Michigan, Bureau of Construction Codes to become the Labor Relations Director. He retired from there to go to work for the Associated General Contractors of Michigan, as their Labor Relations Director. He always joked that he wanted to round out a full 50 years in the construction industry and he did just that. Afterwards, he and wife Trina, packed it up and relocated to Sarasota, FL. His favorite time was sitting in a rocking chair on the covered lanai, looking out over the pool. He loved grilling in his outdoor kitchen, watching baseball and football and waxing and polishing his vehicles. He was kind, caring, funny, and a gentleman. A service will be held at Sarasota National Cemetery on Friday, May 27 at 9:30am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Scott's honor to Freedom Alliance, freedomalliance.org
