William "Bill" Ramsey

Bill was Born April 8, 1943 and passed away October 10, 2021. Bill was a veteran of the Navy and later became a heavy equipment operator and long-distance truck driver. He also worked for many years in maintenance for Camp Venice RV Resort before retiring. He was preceded in death by his wife of many years, Wanda Ramsey. He leaves behind his son, Shad Ramsey and his wife Ann, two daughters, Shaila Johnson and Stephanie Collins, two stepdaughters, Linda Shaw and husband Rodney and Diana (Jeanie) Best and partner Harlow Clark also tow stepsons, Walter (Tony) Wilkinson and Jackie Lounsbury. Several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Also, his companion and fiancé, Donna Bohnen. He was a member of the local DAV, VFW, American Legion and the Eagles Club. He will be missed by many for his wit, nicknames and humor. All are invited to attend a service with military honors at 12:30 PM Thursday, November 18, 2021 at Sarasota National Cemetery.
