Nicole Jeanne Noel Neubeiser

Nicole Jeanne Noel Neubeiser passed away peacefully on December 17, 2025, in Sarasota, FL, at the age of 93. Born May 1, 1932, in Fez, Morocco, Nicole’s childhood was spent in Morocco, France and post war Germany. She was fluent in French, Spanish, German and English. Her parents were Andre Noel and Louise Mathey. Her father, Andre, received the French Legion of Honor for his war service and was active in diplomatic circles in post war Morocco and Germany where he helped with reconstruction of the Black Forest region, earning Germany’s highest award, the Cross of Honor. In the early 1950s, Nicole received a Fullbright Scholarship and emigrated from Paris to Columbia, Missouri, where she attended university. It was here that she met U.S. Naval Officer Roger Neubeiser. They married in 1956 in Rabat, Morocco, and after an assignment in Newfoundland, the young couple moved to St. Louis, MO and later to South Florida where Roger did his medical residency, ultimately becoming an orthopedic surgeon. The couple had three sons. Growing up in the tumultuous years leading up to and encompassing World War 2, Nicole’s life was a rich tapestry of European refinement, challenges and perseverance. When circumstances took her and her three young sons to the rural western North Carolina town of Cullowhee in the early 1970s, she rose to the occasion and taught French, Spanish and ballet during the 4 years the family spent there. Returning to South Florida in 1976, she started her own travel agency and later worked for Revillon Furs. With that innate French fashion sense built into her DNA, Nicole quickly became a district manager of the prestigious French-based furrier. She ultimately retired in South Carolina to be near family. Nicole was preceded in death by her son Eric N. Neubeiser who died in 1976 at the age of 13, and her husband, Roger, who passed away in 1992. She is survived by a sister, Daniele Noel Roux of St. Paul de Vence; two sons, Etienne B. Neubeiser (Barbi) of Sarasota, FL, and Evan A. Neubeiser (Renee) of Denver, CO; granddaughters, Christine Neubeiser (Chris) of Chichester, U.K.; Kelly Neubeiser (Alex) of Oxford, U.K.; Kendall Neubeiser (Will) of Lexington, KY; Grace Neubeiser of Denver, CO, Kate Neubeiser of Denver, CO; Anna Severson (Lars) of Gilbert, AZ; grandsons Sean Piper (Kaitlyn) of Chandler, AZ, and Will Piper of Kansas City, MO; great grandsons, Eric Malcrop of Oxford, UK; Cash Severson of Gilbert, AZ; and Marshall Piper of Chandler, AZ; as well as multiple nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
