Susan (Mandemach) Kimerer

Susan (Mandernach) Kimerer passed away in her home on August 21, 2026, with her devoted husband Joe at her side after a 3-year battle with cancer. Susie was born in Chicago, Illinois to Violet (Domke) and Russell Mandernach and was raised in Valparaiso, Indiana in the Burlington Beach community. She met and fell in love with Joe, and they were married for 59 wonderful years. They raised their two children in Valparaiso then moved to Venice Florida in 1998. Susie was a devout Christian whose life was a witness to her deep and unwavering faith. She possessed a rare and beautiful passion for talking about the Lord, bringing a spirit of encouragement to friends and strangers alike. Her favorite conversations were always centered on God's goodness, and she never missed an opportunity to share His love with the world. In Valparaiso, she attended the Apostolic Christian Church and stayed connected to the treasured friends made there after moving to Florida. In Venice, she worked as a bookkeeper at a local furniture store until retirement. She resided with Joe in the Palm Terrace condo community where they have made many life-long cherished friendships. Sue was a loving mother, an adoring grandmother, a loyal sister and friend, and someone whose love was constant and unconditional. Her kindness, compassion, and steadfast presence shaped the lives of everyone who was fortunate enough to know her. Even while fighting her own battle, she remained the rock for her beloved family. Her ability to support others while enduring so much herself was a testament to her remarkable strength. Her greatest pride and deepest joy were her children and grandchildren. She never missed an opportunity to encourage them, celebrate their accomplishments, or simply be a listening ear. She loved each of them fiercely and cherished every moment she spent with them. Susie is survived by her husband Joe, children Kristine and Joe, her granddaughters Lucy and Emma, and grandsons Ryan and Drew. She is also survived by siblings Sandra, Maxine, Gary, and Debbie, sister-in-law Jeanne, and many loved nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and sisters, Marie and Arlene. Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing Sue is free from pain and at peace. We will miss her every day, but we will carry her with us always. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at 1:00 pm, at Toale Brothers Funeral Home, 140 E Venice Ave, Venice, FL. The service will be officiated by Pastor Phil Enloe from Harvest Chapel of Venice. After the service, a lunch and get together will occur at location to be determined.
