Susan Ruth Lizotte

Susan Ruth Lizotte, born in 1953 in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully at her home in Sarasota, Florida, on August 15, 2024. Susan was the beloved daughter of Ronald and Marjorie Robichaux and grew up in a close-knit family in Townsend MA. Susan attended North Middlesex High School, where she met the love of her life, Richard Lizotte. The two married and shared a beautiful 54-year-long marriage. Together, they raised two sons, Todd and Josh Lizotte, instilling in them the values of love, perseverance, and the importance of family. In 1983, Susan was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, a challenge she faced with incredible courage and grace for over four decades. Her diagnosis was a pivotal factor in the family’s decision to relocate to Sarasota, Florida, in 1987, where they continued to raise their sons and build a life filled with love and resilience. Despite the challenges she faced, Susan was known for her joyful spirit, her love of life, and her deep passion for music. Her infectious laughter and positive outlook on life were an inspiration to all who knew her. She was a beacon of light in the lives of her family and friends, always ready to share a smile or a kind word. Susan is survived by her devoted husband, Richard Lizotte; her sons, Todd Lizotte (Kim) and Joshua Lizotte (Danielle). Susan adored her grandchildren, Cameron, Brandon, Balius, Josh, Liam, Jackson, and great-grandchild, Grace. She is also remembered by her supporting brother and sister, Ronald and Carol Robichaux, and a symphony of nieces and nephews. Susan was showered with love by Ms. Carmen, her friend and caretaker for nearly a decade. Her legacy of love, strength, and joy will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. A private memorial service will be held to honor Susan's life.
